Aquatech has been operating in Perth, Western Australia, since 2004.

Aquatech is managed by Jules Holliday who also teaches many of the courses. He was an Officer in the Royal Navy and then practised law as a solicitor in the City of London. He began his teaching career as a diving instructor with BSAC in Hong Kong. He also has dive instructor ratings with PADI and SSI and is a licensed instructor with DAN for teaching a range of First Aid and Oxygen courses.

Before moving on to manage Aquatech full-time, Jules was a Facilitator at IFAP’s Offshore and Marine Training Centre in North Fremantle. IFAP provides specialist emergency and survival training to the offshore oil and gas industry. Jules’ role there was to teach basic firefighting, sea survival and helicopter underwater escape training.

The instructors at Aquatech are all self-employed contractors who are engaged to provide training to clients on a case-by-case basis. The process works by matching the needs of the client with the particular skills base of the instructor. We understand at Aquatech that one style does not necessarily suit all.

Every contractor is either a qualified scuba diving instructor or commercial diver and a First Aid Instructor. This way we ensure that all of our trainers are intimately familiar with the marine environment. They come from a variety of backgrounds including paramedics, commercial and military divers, marine scientists and academics.

If you have any specific need for an instructor with a particular background, please contact us and we will do our best to meet your request.
